Hi chaps

Just a quickie....what is the general reference method for domestic wiring these days....say down stairs ring main..ran under floor boards and chased in2 wall?. and also upstairs lighting where it has been chased in2 wall and laid on the insulation in the loft?. Cheers Steve.

Ring final as you describe - method C
Upstairs lighting, not sure about the lay on top of insulation bit, sounds a bit rough!
Cable clipped to a joist and covered with insulation not exceeding 100mm - method 100
Cable clipped to a joist and covered with insulation exceeding 100mm - method 101

wonder if this is a way of collating info (slowly but surely) on all the crap install that has gone on by 6 week wonders as the part p rules are changing?............

LOL - a conspiracy theorist!! But, that would only work if other people analysed the reports, and they don't.
