Hi guys,

its been a while while since I posted on here, but I'll get right to it.

Basically i I done my NVQ level 2 in electrical installation in 2009, and have been looking for an apprenticeship ever since, to no avail, until now.

I I have been offered and apprenticeship to complete my level 3 tech cert and NVQ, starting in September.

Ratching out out my level 2 book to "refresh myself", I have found that I have forgotten a HUGE amount of electrotechnical principles, and circuit design rules (difference between radial and ring, intermediate switches, identifying cables in the case of replacing CU's and knowing what size they should be).

im panicking unbelievably as I don't want to appear stupid in September, and it's a sizeable book to read before September.

Can anyone give me any advice please?! What are the main things I should learn?

thanks

I would get the books that relate to the course material that will be delivered to you.

When i was doing my 2357 level 3 work at college i bought the "advanced electrical installation work" book by Trevor Linsley.

Everything we covered was in this book.

Best of luck with it all mate. :)
