Hi i am new on this. I have a question I have just passed level 3 2330 electrical insalation and 17th edition course i have just become a self employed handyman can i register with some one to do domestic electrical work?

Hi mate yes you can try elecsa

as there only requirments are the 17th and competence if you can safely install and inspect and test your own work and know how to complete the necessarry certificates then you just need 1 major job to show for your assessment ie a ccu change with new tails and bonding to gas, water or complete rewire if its your first job then should be notified to labc but most dont and just notify after assessment

mate dont ask still going kitchen to go and everything else being done at same time
been waiting for plasterer could have done it myself mate so had to hold elecsa off also been having probs with low IR and going insane with it but thats another story well its not but you know

so in answer to your question not to good at moment

Re: installing card meters

I am working for a landlord who has had his own card meters in flats He wants to change them to a electricity provider because they are being fiddeled. Does he have to pay for new ones to be fitted? or can the tenents request a change from a electricity provider?
