Hi,can anyone help.im about to register with one of the governing bodies but am a little confused as it seems to be a chicken and egg situation.apparently untill you are registered you must notify building control before and after work has been completed and pay a fee fo an inspection.i phoned one of the governing bodies about this and was told that it was up to me if i wanted to notify build control and they do not check.also i intend to do a comsumer change as a test job and need to pull the main fuse.i contacted southern electric and received an email stating that if i was registered then i can break the seal, phone them when competed and they will reseal.on the inspection is the inspector likely to question how i have managed to change consumer unit when main fuse is sealed. What is the normal procedure, thanks
