regulation for elec near gas

so I wired a cooker cable to outlet on wall behnd cooker, bout foot or so off ground, plumber came along after and brought gas pipe out about 3 - 4 inches from my outlet, whats the regulation on this? minimum distance and that. yes I have on site guide and book of regs but i'm also a member of this site so why not put it out there for discussion, hey oh

It should be 150mm away, and yes its his fault.

should be 6" so plumber is in the wrong. then again, if there's going to be a gas leak and an electrical fault arcing at the same time (about as much chance as katie price falling on her face) then i don't think the resultasnt fire will be working out the spacing.

does Katie know she's bein referenced in an electricians forum? any experinced lecky here will know the electrician is always to blame. when the sparks puts his socket EXACTLY where the drawing says and it clashes with some fitted furniture or whatever, its the sparks fault. we're the guys they all love to hate
