I am looking for a 240v 75-100 amp relay. To switch over from mains to generator for power.
The switched cables are 16mm2.
Does anyone know where to get one?

The way I would sort that is to use 2 contractors electrically interlocked or just a manual changeover switch.

Thanks for the quick replay.
What I am looking for is when the mains power goes off (which it is doing all the time just now) I have the generator coming on automatically but I don’t want to be feeding power back down the line. But I want it to happen automatically as someone is not always there to change it manually.

Sounds like you need to invest in an automatic changeover panel to allow separation between the two supplies.

You should really look at getting a proper ATS if your going to have a generator back up supply of that power. Most modern ATS unit have timer and sensors fitted to control the chage over period. Such as if the power goes off and is restore withing seconds it will avoid activating the switch over. It will idle the generator to balance it before it brings it fully on line. Then on resumption of power it will keep the generator running to ensure a steady supply before shutting down.

Agree with Sintra & Malcolm! You really need to be looking at an auto changeover panel with contactor interlocks. As malcolm says modern panels have phase failure devices and timers built into them to eliminate the risk of connection between your generator and the grid, and vice versa.

You really dont want to risk bringing your generator and the grid together!!
