I've got a customer who has a socket point in their garden, and they'd like to use it to power 2 different lights - but not at the same time!

Anyone got any product recommendations, ideally something that could be controlled "remotely.

Thanks

Maplins do a remote control mains socket set. I think there is a trio for ÂŁ15. I have used them in a corn store, where it saved the customer a couple hundred quid on running a cable from the back (where the power and flood lights where) to a switch at the front door.

The only problem is where the garden sockets are? If they are out in the open then you may have to instal them in some suitable IP rated enclosure, which may not be practicle.

ideal solution would be to add 2 IP55 remote operated sockets to the one already in place. these can be operated by 1 remote, set on 2 different frequencies. Byron do 1 for about ÂŁ20 but the build quality is not fantastic. there must be similar, better built ones.
