Been thinking about getting one of these remote relays to help with testing - would save on the old legs especially when working on three/four floor buildings

Can use 2 relays to do the std tests so would be able to test 4 separate circuits at a time (No ring's mains in France to test)

The spec for the relays used can handle 500V for 1 min (Isolation Test) but not found a contact resistance spec yet so hopefully won't cause a problem with the R1+R2/R1+Rn measurements (should be less than 0.1 ohms I would have thought)

Any thoughts anyone ?

P.S. The flay bay company (China based) has not got back to me as yet (over a week) with the relay specs so does anyone know of another supplier that may make a similar product ?

I like your thinking mate. Got to be worth a try.

Thinking along similar lines, I was wondering whether to construct a radio-linked gadget for showing that the circuit I'm switching off is, in fact, the one I think it is.

Thanks RF

Did read up on the frequency bit so have hopefully ordered the 433MHz option - should be here somewhere around the 15th-19th of December - will let the forum know if it's of any use.
