Removed threads / posts !???

I may be wrong here ( whiskey ) but it would appear that the posts ( the whole thread to that matter ! ) I made to Hightower the other day questioning his judgement on displaying to all that cared to view , essentially private views sent in good faith via the report function , have been removed without the courtesy of letting those that took the time to respond , even know why !

I pulled Hightower up on something that I thought was wrong whilst expressing my gratitude for a normally thankless and I imagine trying job that the mods have agreed to undertake and he explained his reasons why , at which point I offered an instant apology .

I for one stand by every word and action that I say or make , be them right or wrong , So do not expect my posts to be altered in any way , especially as nothing offensive had been posted and only a valid concern !

Firstly Thank you Marvo for moving this to a more suitable section !:blush2:

It was a thread I think on Friday ( if not it would have been Monday ) in which others were discussing why Pepezzed or something similar to that name had up and cleared off after a run in with the mods ( I think ) ?

Well you can search me, I ran a search back to 1984 and can't find it. You're not giving me much to go on though, without knowing the forum or the thread title it limits my search. If it's disappeared then there only 2 options, either it was deleted or it got caught up in the glitches the other day when the updating and repairs were happening. I'm guessing the latter because there were a few posts and threads lost at that time and if it was deleted I'd still be able to find it unless it got completely erased from the forum database which is highly unlikely.

Either way I can't find it and can only apologize but I'll have another rummage around later if I've got time.

Thank you for looking Marvo , although I am a little sceptical I also have built up a very high regard for yourself over the last few years , and will take your suggestion at face value if that is your opinion .

This may have been when Dan was messing with the cache settings a few posts and threads did go astray - I don't think any deliberate removal was to blame unless im corrected.

You should have seen me back in my touring days...when the crew/band/whatever wanted to get into someplace to party it was always me that got sent to do the blag! Almost 100% success rate, too.

I know about Mr Skeltons thread, it was removed because it didn't serve any purpose other than to attract negative comments. The thread mentioned in the OP just isn't on the forum at all. If it had been deleted I'd still be able to see it so I'm clueless TBH. It would help if I had a thread title and knew which forum or sub-forum it was in but even without I'm sure I would have found it if it was still around. Was there anything in the thread that would have warranted it being hard deleted? If not then it was probably a casualty of the updates and database reboot.

I think your are right Hawkmoon. pepparz has angry that he was bullied by someone. He got his post edited (which made the post look like he had used bad language in it) and then he got banned.
