Removing Plastic Screw Covers

Has anyone got any good tips/ methods for removing plastic screw covers from face plates without damaging the caps, or is it best to destroy them and fit new ones? Thanks

A brand new Stanley knife. Put the tip in one edge and out they pop.
Sometimes there are sparea in the back of the switch/socket.

IMO they look better without the caps:29:

Sometimes you can pop them out with a Stanley... Most of the time you cant... So I just drill them out with a 6mm bit

i think they look terrible, never found a brand that can make them to sit flush and are the exact same colour!

You will have , but binned them seconds after looking at them lol.
Only worthwhile on outdoor fittings. ( to stop screws rusting )
