Got to remove a socket and connect it out in a house, the room is being converted to a bathroom so putting it under floor in Wagos , the circuit is fed from a BS3036. Will I need to protect the circuit with a RCD as I have carried out a alteration to the circuit or not.

Sorry Dilib.....................what on earth are you on about!!!

Well if your extending the circuit with new cable, then yes it is classed as an addition and is liable to all the conditions for that, ie additional protection especially for the cable, though technically you could say that as it was an existing socket, it is just being re positioned, and so not liable for coming under the regs, but the cable you can't

think the socket is redundant, and he wants to remnove it and maintain the rfc by jointing cables under floor. best way is either wagos ( in a box) or crimp and heatshrink. no RCD required, but a MWC could be completed.

^ This.

Thanks Tel, don't seem to be able to communicate properly at the minute for some reason. :dizzy2:

Watch out for that old chestnut about using Wagos. If you put them under the floor are they accessible or is somebody about to tile the floor. Dont think Wagos have been accepted as maintenance free yet so would have to be accessible.
