We currently have some spot lights fited under our kitchen and the misus is wanting them replaced with different lighting. Now normally i would switch the electric off to do this but we have a family member that requires the electic on at all times due to ill health. I was just wondering if the switch is off so that the lights arent on will i be ok dimantling the conections or will i get an electric shock?

isolate the lights by switching off the MCB at the CU. thus leaving the sockets and other circuits on. if you are not confident in doing this job. get a qualified sparks in.
