Replacement gas boiler

All,

I appreciate that we're in general, not plumbers or heating specialists but does anybody know if there is a regulation that states a replacement boiler MUST be on an outside wall and not use a chimney?

The reason I'm interested is that a mate has been told this and he's not sure if its true!

Thought thats why they produce flue extension kits, so they can be mounted in a location that suit you.

Download the relevant building reg theres a part in there which show all the different locations for boilers flues openings etc

I have extensive experience working for gas firms - so I know a boiler can go almost anywhere!
External wall with a flue straight out, internal wall with flue extensions boxed in then to out side, internal wall with vertical flue through roof, in the loft, in a basement with flue kit, back boiler behind fireplace with condensate pump and flue liner in existing chimney.
As long as you can get a flue out, a condensate to a drain course, and blow-off out if a combi, it can go there.
