Hi
Ive just joined this site, and I'm hoping someone can help me with a query.
I am currently selling my house, and on the survey, the surveyor picked up the electrics did not look very safe in the garage. I hold 2391 and so does the engineer I employ. Although we don't do domestic wiring as our normal job.
We have replaced the consumer unit in the garage and two circuits in the garage, one lighting circuit, and one circuit for a double socket. The buyers solicitors have asked to see the Electrical safety certificate after the work has been done.
As it is a replacement consumer unit, we have done a new installation certificate, with schedule inspections and test results.
We are not Niceic registered. Do we need someone who is Niceic registered to sign it off, or are our 2391 quals sufficient. It's just holding up the house sale at the moment, and I just want to make sure its right before i send it to the buyers solicitors.
Thanks
Pete
