Hey everyone,

I'm just having a bit of trouble replacing a light switch. This switch is the only switch to control the light (which is outside), it has a wire coming in from another switch below and three other wires from within in the wall.

The old switch isn't labelled in any way. The switch below the one I'm replacing (I can give more detail about this switch if you need) is well labelled though, and the wire coming into the old switch from the other switch is labelled L2.

The new switch I've just bought is also well labelled.

The problem is, the hardware store had no equivalent switch (4 points to put wires), and no-one there could help me. I've copied down a wiring diagram for a switch that has 6 points to put wires - can I use this? If so, where do the wires go?

Thanks for any help,
Ben.

that doesnt really show much unfortunately,we are uk based and not familiar with oz switches have you asked someone more local?

Actually I'm in Belgium at the moment, if that makes a difference. Since I'm not from around here and don't speak French or Dutch, getting help is not the easiest at the moment.

Is there something I can take a better picture of? Something you're looking for in particular?

Cheers,
Ben.

Yes one wire nut will grab a wire but I will suggest an orange one because the wire is 14 gage wire for lighting.
