Probably will be, but without knowing the details of the system it's impossible to say from looking at the front of it.
The only possible issue I can see is if the system is Gravity dhw and the new programmer doesn't have that option.
Best bet is to get an electrician to do the swap, any electrician should be able to deal with this, if they can't I'd be a bit worried!
never done central heating wiring buddy
I would assume its l,n,e and a sl for hw and a sl for heating
ease up fella- i seeked quick advise on a forum.................

The ST9400c can be set to mini programmer setting for gravity systems. You have to enter installer mode and change parameter number 7 from 0 to 1.
Well I wouldn't have expected them to stick with the outdated and terribly complex switch on the back of it! That would make it too easy.
thought your mentor retired when the 5th edition came out.:38:I'm not your buddy!
Never assume, work with facts.
The wiring diagrams for all standard arrangements are in a sticky thread in the central heating section of the forum.
If you don't know know basic heating controls wiring then get someone to teach you. Are you still in touch with your mentor from when you were an apprentice? mine is my first port of call if I come up against something I don't know.
