One of our customers from 2 years ago has decided to replace his roof. He wanted to get on the roof and take the panels off himself after we had disconnected them. Obviously we've told him this is unacceptable but he's reluctant to pay much for having the panels removed and replaced. What is everyone else charging for this sort of thing? He's a good hour and a half drive away from our base so it's taking 2 days out of our working week.

hmm, he's going to shell out a few grand for a new roof, but doesn't want to pay for your time and expertise. i'd tell him to get on with it, but all warranties will be void.

If he's having a new roof the panels are going to need to be put back on at some point, I'd charge say £600 to take them off and pop them back on when the roof is done and emphasise what will happen if they are put back wrong etc.
