Could someone point me to a source which will describe exactly what MCS require for an install to be 'MCS legal' please? I've searched, but failed miserably!

I'm thinking in terms of labelling the installation, circuit protection (DC and AC) and the paperwork that should accompany a completed installation, for example.

I could not see any clear advice on connecting to a domestic CU , specifically on RCD protection
of other curcits from the CU!
Dose anyone have a link to regulations on this?

a yes, the dreaded 1771 travel claim, I remember those (I knew 1771 was lodged in my head for a reason!)! I believe the chief paid them personally, at least he must have he was so tight with them!
