Hello to all you experts.
I am definitely not an electrician but living in Thailand brings a whole new meaning to the word "bodge".
I am currently involved in building a new bungalow (something I've always wanted to do but never been able to afford it in the UK). Because of what I've seen of electrical installations done by the locals I'm trying to design a "belt and braces" solution in the new place and to that end I'll be posting something in the DIY section of the Forum and I hope some of you will be patient enough to keep me on the right track.
Can I just say that while in the past I've put in wiring for the garage and garden shed without any subsequent issues it wasn't until I started this project that I realised just how complicated even domestic wiring is. Almost every time I ran a query on the Internet I finished up somewhere in this Forum and I'll admit that quite a bit went straight over my head.
So many thanks for what you've taught me so far.
