I first qualified through the CITB/JTL training courses back in 1990 and worked for a local Kiln company that manufactured Kilns for all around the world. But in 1998 the company reduced all it production and outsourced it eventually going under. I tried my luck as a commercial spark but was used to control panel wiring and automation systems with a little bit of installation.
Been out of the game for nearly 13 years and thought about retraining. In those 13 years have run my own light haulage company but like everyone the cost of fuel is really hurting so thought I would go back into the trade again. In December I past the 17th edition City & Guilds course having qualified with the 15/16 editions. Also thought I would try for the City & Guilds 2391 course but failed the written but passed the practical at the first attempt. I have my resit tonight but I'm bricking it as its been 4 Months roughly since I took it last time.
