don't know. basically, customer got keys to house on the Friday. i gave him an approx. quote based on a drawing, firm price subject to site survey, scheduled for the Saturday. 2 days before, I got an email to say he'd gone with another quote who said he could start on the Saturday. obviously this guy has quoted (phone or email) without seeing the job, so I see problems ahead. how can you prepare a quote , get it accepted, all within 2 days. think I'm well out of it. BTW, the enquiry came over this forum.

That's why I do written quotes with cooling off period and take a third deposit to book it in diary
