rewire pricing please help

I know this may be a bit of a taboo subject just in case i decide to undercut anyone(which i wont,we all need work dont we) I was just wondering how people price a full rewire,is it by sockets and switches,by room ect,this rewire will be signed off and certified through elecsa. any advice would be a help thanks and this isnt a joke

You have to use all of that information to price any job really, coupled with any special client requirements ie. brass socket outlets, specified light fittings etc.

You can have a 'bare bones' rewire price for X sockets, X lights etc. etc. based on cheap white plastic outlets and then adjust it for client specified 'extras'

I can't tell you your price, it depends on your overheads and whatever margin you wish to apply to materials and labour.

The way I usually do it is to price per point; price for socket outlet, cooker/shower circuits, FCUs, lighting point, 1way switching, 2way switching etc. Always quote based on white PVC accessories as IQ states, unless customer specifies different then will adjust per point.

Always double check my quote against material costs plus how long I estimate job will take plus a contingency which varies according to size of job. Normally the 2 values are not too far apart so I know I haven't dropped a b#ll@ck.
