Had a call today to pop in on the the way home to quote for a kitchen for my brothers friend.I dont do a lot of domestic stuff i must admit,
looked around found no cpc in the lights and everything in old rubber cable. rubber tails.
so this guy thought it would be few sockets for the kitchen new board and he was on his way. NO CHANCE.
so what is the going price these days for a rewire in a 3 bedroom house ?

he has 1o double sockets in the house (would like additional) 9 rooms in total including bathroom kitchen etc also new board with extra sub main for garage and garden.

Have a look in OSG for minimum requirements for sockets in a dwelling, Probably end being around 26 in a 3 bed. If yr lookin at a shower, extraxtor, cooker, hob, 3 rings, 2 lighting, new cu, smokes, sub main in garage i'd say minimum £3000.

Just read above, if its occupied and you have to move all the furniture and so on i'd charge an extra £500 ish for all the messing around!!

Depends where you are in the country. I am in the North West and recently lost a three bed rewire at £2300 and another at £2200. However a mate is still getting them at £2500 - £27502 and he is only 20 miles away.
