RHI being abused

I see companies are installing free Biomass boilers and claiming the payments. Another system being abused again just like solar.
Wont be long before tariff is slashed.

Always been done on the commercial side since the scheme opened - this isn't new - because the capital cost is so high, the client wins on the lower fuel costs.

Some are even full schemes including fuel payments. So 'FREE' heat up to a limit.

Ofgem / DECC are OK with the commercial heat to rent schemes - they've covered themselves with hefty degressions.

It's specifically banned in the Domestic RHI - payments can only be made the the property owners bank account - and they are checking and auditing that.

However there are ways and means .... (7 year high rate loans that just happen to match the RHI payments)

I see RHI is acting as a disincentive to actually insulate houses properly, which frankly disgusts me.

wood is a finite resource, not something that we should be paying people to waste.

Yep Ofgem will stop paying the RHI it is that simple, of course the householder won;t care anyway as they've got their 'free' boiler already ...
