Hi Folks
If the heat pump is going to have payments related to the EPC would I still need to install the valves for a heat meter

yes.

The only technology that doesn't need that is solar water heating*





*thanks to me pointing out how impossible to achieve this would be in most airing cupboards etc in a conversation with the head of the SWH technical working group. Ironic that the only impact I've actually had on MCS is via a working group I don't sit on and have never attended a meeting for.
 
Systems have to be 'meter ready' even when you don't install meters.
