ring continuity

doing a ring main continuity that is all on one ring differ, while cross connecting the L and N it was 0.15 in living room, 0.30 upstairs and 0.45 in kitchen, have checked for a ring within a ring and made sure i cross connected correctly. checked the Zs from one of the sockets and that was ok. Any help greatly appreciated

reverse your interconnection's.
If still the same, then the sockets have been spurred off. You might need to take a few off, and have a look, always a good idea to take a couple off, will give a very good indication of the install.

Readings sometimes vary between sockets. Unscrew the sockets and check all terminals for tightness, then measure the resistance at the terminations

Steve do you get the same erratic readings when doing r1+r2? And what is the wiring system? Singles or t&e?

it's t&e the r1 is 0.66, rn 0.66 and r2 1.12

I'd say the upstairs sockets are ok, the living room is inter connected, and the kitchen is a spur, or the ring is broken after the living room inter connection.
