how do i know if my outdoor sockets are on a ring or a radial circuit ?

If the sockets are on their own dedicated circuit then you could Check within the distribution board at the protective device to see if there are two legs, if so then undertake a ring continuity check.

If you are not qualified or experienced please do not start to take covers off especially on live circuits.
