for 25mm you dont need to do either.
use the swa for earth.

i know there is a max size but i dont recall exactly.

a mate way saying that you can use screen upto 25mm or so and above that you need a cpc but you can use both screen+cpc so its a smaller core

3p/N use 5 core.
Dedicated earth and Swa as belt and braces in case some idiot decides to guess at how to make an Swa gland off...........as Wade's post this week.

oops.............wade just posted the photo honest he didn't really make that end off:)) lol
sorry mate hahahaha

5 core swa
4 core will suffice using armouring as your cpc mate as long as you gland it correctly and it passes all the relevant tests as the guys have already stated..............me.................5 core every time and dedicated earth core bolted and bonded and earthed to everything with 6mm brass nuts and bolts:)

That Earthingnuts pdf is more confusing than useful, far better to use this table when dealing with SWA CPC values and compliance's

Blue = min CSA of cables SWA to comply.

(Red) = Cable does not comply.

Then i would personally run your SWA cable underground in a duct, sealed at both ends with a propriety duct seal compound. And make sure you pull the cable into the duct carefully, any damage to the sheath, will allow the salt laden water to corrode the SWA very quickly!! lol!!
