Hi,
Can anyone give me any guidance on putting together a risk assessment for solar pv please.

Thanks
Darren

i would imagine a generic one would do, with working at hieghts being the main risk....i cant see too many other risks with the job?//

I'm don't to PV work,
however isn't it just working at height, maybe using a chopsaw for cutting the brackets (unistrut type brackets )
if thats all you need, I can email the generic one for when I do CCTV work in shopping centres

yep, main risk is spending lots of time and money getting into PV to then be shafted by the Government
came out as a red on my risk assessment today, bizzarely was a green 18 months ago - go figure!!

on a more serious note you need one for working with live DC, and working with AC (safe isolation etc). you need a generic one for all power tools (eye protection, ear protection and all that guff).
if you really want to be comprehensive you should also cover exposure to the elements (cold, wet and Sunlight (burns, sun protection etc)). working at height should cover safe use of ladders, towers and scaffold (your scaffolders should be able to supply a copy of theirs).
You should also cover footwear and hand protection.
