anyone used these
before? rather get opinions of them before i shell out nearly 20 quid a piece on a lamp the customers not happy with :D and especially when they want 30 of them it would be a fairly expensive let down

no way jose! i buy 5watt for ÂŁ20 inc vat. local so no shipping charge. electric center do a complete fitting with 5watt, 7 year guarantee on fitting. if lamp goes, replace whole fitting. ÂŁ38+vat. look at kosnic lamps as well.

cheers. have you used the robus ones? not getting them online will be local. needs to be lamp only im afraid as it`s existing fittings. be an easy enough number re-lamping 30 fittings always guaranteed a sarnie and loads of cups of coffee at this one too :D

why nhot get 1 and fit it for your customer, see if they like the thing. if not it's only cost you ÂŁ20

its a bit far out mate tbh to do that just wondered if anyone had used them. might give them a shot and see, the other robus gear i have had before has been sound

None of the LED's are going to be as cheap at the moment, until they are accepted fully into peoples homes.

My wholesaler has just started doing these:

LED Downlights

They are near enough 40 a go, plus you cannot replace the lamp, you have to replace the whole unit!!!!!

They do, however, state that you should get around 7 years (i think) life out of the lamps.

The lamp spec tells a story. 124 lumens output, that about 10-15 watts halogen equivalent tops, its also only 42 lumens per watt. CFL lamps are better and cheaper by a quarter! When 100 lumens per watt LED lamps are available for a fiver, then is the time to go LED. Until then I will wait.

i was looking at them today. look well and they are selling a lot to the big home builders. the output is good on them. i was looking at something similar at the elex but they were 80 quid plus the vat each. ouch
