Hello Everyone, (NOT DIY JOB, Need advise prior to calling an electrician on site)

Is it possible to swap a 3 phase rotary switch (roller shutter switch) to a 3 gang touch switch? left button for up, middle button for stop position and the right button for down.

Would like to utilise a Deta connect smart triple gang switch instead of the traditional roller shutter switch.

I am not an electrician and will be calling an electrician to do the job, I just want to know if this is possible before I call a professional to my home.

Thanks.

Without more information on the circuit that your rotary switch implements, it's difficult to say.
3 phase (do you mean 3 position?) and 3 gang - two entirely different things.
If you really mean this is a 3 phase supply/connection then no!

If the Deta switch you are thinking of is the type of thing I show in the links below, available in UK, then possibly OK.
But depends on limit switches on the shutters etc. Take advice from a competent electrician.
You need one of an appropriate current rating, but I think they are typically 10A, so depends on your shutter.

I have my doubts about the quality and robustness of these devices, but I have one on an electric window, and it has (so far!) done the job for a year or two.

If the rotary switch is the type it usually is (and only IF) it only has ELV inside of it, and the 3 phase supply is irrelevant. The switches have two NO contacts inside, with one closing when the switch is turned one way, the other closing when the switch is turned the other way, and neither closed when the switch is in the middle.
