Absolutely ridiculous amount of money!

To think that £80 million could easily save me team from going bust all our problems would be solved, how much I wish someone would come along and chuck us a sum of money like that as we wouldn't need to go out and ask the people of my town and the world to chip in to save us.

Ian, note you are on the Wirral so i can guess your comments mate, but if Real madrid or any other club are willing to pay that sort of money in a business sense not football he had to go.
In a football sense, the premier league diving or no diving he had the ability and theres not to many as good as him mate, be honest.
OK he has had his tantrums but thats what most of em are like these days, in my day they would,nt last 2mins, with the likes of Norman Hunter , Tommy Smith, Chopper Harris, Billy Bremner, good hard players.

Just another I’m sorry to say talented footballer who has spoilt his reputation like so many others by having the intellect of a gold fish !! Rather play or watch the oval ball any day much harder and more respectful of each other and the ref!! PS no sports man is worth that sort of money full stop he has most things he wants anyway and certainly does not work as hard as some of you guys ill bet. So there rant over
