I have been looking at installing a 10kW PV setup on a friend's barn roof. While I don't anticipate any future problems with my friend, we both feel that a contract outlining what is required of him & I would be a prudent thing to put in place (it prevents any difficulties if either of us is run over by a bus etc in the future!). Does anyone have a draft contract that I could look over please?

The standard contract as approved/recommended by REAL should be sufficient although its a friend you need to follow the complete paper trail of MCS. If the standard contract doesn't cover the supply and installation then I think your making it more complicated than it should be...if you mean you wouldn't be paid in full then its two separate contracts one being a loan the other to cover the installation.

Also...the owner of the 10Kwp system has to provide proof of ownership (ie that they have paid the installer in full).

I wouldn't have thought it would be of any use to someone installing a FREE system and wanting to ensure they remain entitled to the fit. I've not not seen a contract for a free system but it must cover ownership, a maintenance/access agreement. Conditions that would prevent shading/damage to an installed system. Means of access for reading/checking the generation meter.

Sorry, maybe I didn't make it clear. I am fitting a FREE system (ie, I will own the system and claim the FiT). If anyone has any good pointers on a contract, that would be great!
