Roof Surveys

What qualifications do you need to say roof structures are safe for pv installs,seems a bit of a grey area as usual does it have to have structual calcs for every job do outbuildings count also your thoughts welcome.

Safest to do it for every converted job and get a professional to do it - you will have enough to do without trying to save a few quid by cutting corners and when you get round to re-assessment you'll have complete confidence that your calcs and your customers' homes are sound.

Interestingly a customer that we visited this week had 2 prices from national companies, one of which didn't look in the loft and said they didn't need to do a structural survey, the other did and decided there wasn't any need for a structural survey.
