Hi, could anyone give me an idea of cost for this? there will be 3 houses built that i might get the work on, condition of the planning is that energy saving measures are included. i.e solar pv or hot water solar. If i get the job i will need someone around the midlands to install and cert it.

Thanks

Its about the same as a retro-fit, maby little less due to scaffold in place and easier cable runs. Off set the cost against roof tiles and quote for a tidy in-roof system. New build dosent ,eam cheaper.....

I personally wouldn't go for an in-roof solution. You don't get the benefit of air circulation behind the panels. I'd only install this system if aesthetics has been a major concern for the customer.

Can you give me an idea of the in-roof mounting kit you use because I've just priced up my first 4 kW in-roof system using schuco equipment and it comes to about £3k more expensive than an on roof system!

Not far off, but then cost up the same area in tiles or slates, it soon adds up. As for pricing, that something that is unique to each installer based on location an overheads, also not too many people will discuss in an open forum.

Yep, however the customer saves on roofing materials too. There are lots of built-in systems and all the manufacturers will help you design it, don't expect a lot of help from the distributors.

Try also Renusol's Intrasole and the semi-integrated Intersole SE.
