Further to a previous post.
Solid floor laid with 100mm of kingspan to go down then underfloor heating and 40mm of screed.
Ceiling vaulted and packed with kingspan and cross battens waiting to be boarded.

My intention is to run cables for sockets and lights around perimeter of floor clipped to walljust above solid floor before kingspan goes down.
I know not good to run cables in insulation layer but is there any problem with this if clipped to the masonary walls and would be 100mm below underfloor heating . Either that or clipped to timber in ceiling with kingspan tight up against them.

I can't see any issue (assumes that you have done all your cable calcs properly for thermal derate) in letting them get buried at the edge in the screed. Not ideal, but you wouldn't be the first and there is a method # for it in the regs. You could also run it in conduit on top of the kingspan, but again THIS ASSUMES YOU'VE DONE THE CALCS PROPERLY.

Problem with on top of kingspan means direct against underfloor heating which the 40mm screed will cover. If clipped against wall just above concrete pad then kingspan only against one side but 100mm deep. then the heating and screed

Can you get them in some conduit? Or have you thought about the 150mm from the ceiling safe zone, iv had a similar situation like that before a right pain!
Did consider the 150mm safe zone but with vaulted ceiling wasn't sure if ok still. would conduit make much difference if clipped against wall one side and kingspan against other side.

If I'm reading you right, then why not just clip/push the cable inbetween the concrete wall/floor and the edge of the insulation? Again, even when subsequently covered in screed there's a method for it.

Yes. thats what i intend to do. previous advice was not to run cables in insulation so just concerned and wanted to recheck it is ok and no need to use conduit/trunking.

i have the same problem with a job im doin floor is already in so will be using the 150mm sfe zone and also there should be a gap between the top of insulation and the roof/felt

Better to clip to roofing timber imo, then butt insulation up to it. Can pass through noggins 50mm from surface, then down wall in oval conduit. Much safer than running under screed anywhere near underfloor heating.
Test cables after boarding but before plastering. That way any problems can be sorted before it gets messy.
