Afternoon gentlemen & ladies,
My name is Stuart and I'm currently serving in the Army (Royal Engineers) as an Electrician and hold an ECS Gold Card (conditional) because of the qualifications I've got, (C&G lvl2 & lvl3 2330, AM2, Work course 'C' 2369, 17th edt 2382, Test and Inspection 2391, Building Regs 2393).

I'm currently working on my C&G 2357 NVQ 3 through(Ableskills)and it's all been paid for but I can't get work to complete this here in the military.

As I'm based in Woodbridge,Suffolk is there anyone in the Ipswich area who could take me on and help me gain this Qualification and some experience.

I'm willing to work for free as the Army pay my wages, and my bosses have allowed me 2 days a week plus my weekends outwith the Army to gain this Qualification.

I've got some basic hand tools and PPE.

I know theres been alot of military posts about this and similar posts to this one and you are probably bored of them now, but like every other military and Ex military, I appreciate any help.

Many thanks

Hi stuart I wish you well mate, I cannot help, but I do respect you fella's for what you do protecting our country, the very best fella and good luck hopefully someone in your area will help on here, I will keep my fingers crossed for you and welcome to the forum, and thanks for your service.

Just a small question, your profile says you are in Lanarkshire, but your post says Woodbridge, Suffolk.

Best settle on one location as they are so far apart and I too have the greatest respect for members and ex members of the Armed Forces.

I can only echo the comments above, thank you for the service you provide for us, it would be nice if one of the members could help you out.

cheers gents thankyou for your comments and support, Murdoch to answer your question my home and family are in lanarkshire and I do try and go back and see them at every opportunity but my work and military barracks is Woodbridge so i have to look for work in this area.

What he said mate. Hope you get a fix soon.

Ditto the others. If you were closer, we'd talk.

Stuart, all the best mate, although you will lack a lot of skills needed in civvy street, you will excel in the skills that cant be taught, such as punctuality, consistency, motivation, social skills, manners and conscientiousness. All skills that most new starters seem to lack these days!, you will be a total asset to any team!.

Good luck fella!
