RS?

Discuss RS? in the Australia area at ElectriciansForums.net

Always had no problem with RS haven't dealt with them for a few years though as the internet has made it easier to source components that are more competatively priced

A good one stop source if you are working to deadlines as they have a number of delivery options. Have used the courier despatch delivery when I have had breakdowns that needed immediate repair

not really any bad ones, just a gripe that 7 out of 10 things i want when i get to the counter are never in stock but the courier turning up the next day with a 30p bit is good service though

Thanks UNG, who do you use online?

Depends on what I'm buying but there are a lot of smaller companies out there that offer excellent service if you search around the net for best price / service

As has been said RS offer a premium service no matter what the item costs, I don't do time critical breakdowns that often now or need the more specialised products that RS sell so don't tend use them now

anytime Iv had to use RS (glasgow) they have been great if you know the part number and item your looking for but in the way past(I recon he has had his but kiked) one of the staff was realy obnoctious when i turned up part in hand and asked"Do you have one of these?" but stock levels are good and next day means next day unlike some who promis next day when they mean next week

Yep, RS provide a great service and are about as big as they come where electronics parts are concerned.
Not the cheapest, but great service and superb website for product search, product details and data sheets.
