Hello all, im new on here. i am currently an apprentice so have many questions! so i thought id come on here and ask a few. the main thing i want to know is: the company im working with is working on a property that used to be 4 flats and is now being converted into a single dwelling. each flat had a 60amp fuse as its main fuse in a ryfield unit. EDF came and took the separate meters out leaving just one. my question is - below the ryfield unit is the incoming cable which is terminated in a grey unit with 4 sections, l1, l2, l3, N. each has a fuse in too. since there are fuses there, can the ryfield unit be removed completely? the tails run from the grey unit to the meter first and then the ryfield, and then to the C/U...so removing that sound be ok shouldnt it?
not to worry anyone im not carrying this work out, the electricians are, but as the apprentice i would like to understand the situation!

thanks,

Matt
