Hi,

I have wired an S Plan with a 3rd valve for UFH.

The system runs with 2 pumps, one dedicated to the UFH. at present I have the boiler and both pumps wired in parralel and called from the orange wire out of the zone valves. How can I wire up to have each pump seperate as at the moment the UFH pump comes on when either the rads or hot water is called. I hope this makes some sence to someone

Yes I have, the problem I have is no dedicated wiring box for the UFH, just the valve heads and feeds from three room stats. Thinking it through I will need a couple of relays to seperate the pumps and boiler feed, are these off the self items at a plumbers

Find out what system it is and get the correct wiring system. You may have a master and a slave unit which the stats, actuator heads, zone valve and pump terminates into. This should be linked to the wiring centre via a 3 core cable.

Using three motorised valves will be easy enough, the call from hot water and radiator thermostats will go to brown on valves and send a live down the orange to fire boiler and main pump, then the call from the ufh timer goes to brown on ufh motorised valve and also direct to the ufh pump.
Meaning ufh will only fire when ufh timer calls

3 core wouldn't, but 3 core and earth should I think. The live from the UH4 could feed both the brown and grey of the valve.
