Discuss sadcow in the Periodic Inspection Reporting & Certification area at ElectriciansForums.net

It's in the Brian Scaddan book and is an acronym for general areas of investigation when carrying out an inspection.

S - Safety
A - Ageing
D - Damage
C - Corrosion
O - Overloading
W - Wear & tear
E - External influences
S - suitability

I know if you follow the normal test sheets you are carrying the test out in the correct order but there used to be a word for remembering the sequence of tests, anyone any ideas?

On my 2391 course it was CRIS BAENPEEF if I remember correctly ( I was never good with names :D)

I think CRIPPERS is easier and I think it is:

C- Continuity of CPC of radials and bonding
R- Continuity of rings
I- Insulation resistance
P- Polarity (Continuity test that can be done at same time as 'C')
P- Prospective fault current
E- Earth loop impedance
R- RCD functionality
S- Switch functionality

Someone please correct me if I am wrong?
Although I sure I dont need to ask :D

Just started Level 3 2330 & these are what we are taught as being in use now:

CRISPER

C=Continuity of CPC
R= Continuity of Ring Final
I= Insulation Resistance test
S= Selv and Pelv
P= Polarity
E= Earth electrode test/earth impedance
R= RCD testing

Pretty much as rest with a couple of deviations
