hi, I’m wondering if there is a safe isolation sequence obviously first steps are:
Ask to isolate

Lock off and put up signs keep key safe

Then prove leads working on proving unit

Do the 10 steps- (do you have to do these in an exact order?) some tell me no and some people say yes

Back on proving unit

This is quite good.

Hello Adam I have moved this to the Trainee section to prevent irrelevant posts. If you have any questions along this line in the future the Trainee section is the best place for them as access is restricted.

That's not really a good video. Many mistakes that would get picked up on an AM2.

Firstly he should point out never remove the front cover until the main switch is turned off and the lock is in place.

Secondly it's good practice to turn all circuits off individually before the main seitch (not sure if its something that would be deemed a failure)

Thirdly and most importantly, never put a the probe on a live conductor then the other to earth/neutral. Always put the first probe on the conductor with the least danger first. This is an instant fail as far as I am aware.

It is C&G and EAL approved
