Hi Guys,

Would you all agree with me that this is the correct way for 3ph Safe isolation as I advised my apprentice of this and he has been knocked back by C&G as insufficient.

Prove Tester on known source or proving unit
Prove installation is Live
Switch off installation
Prove Tester on known source or proving unit
L1-L2
L1-L3
L2-L3
L1-N
L2-N
L3-N
L1- EARTH
L2-EARTH
L3- EARTH
N-EARTH
Prove Tester on known source or proving unit
Lock off
Retain key
Hang signs

sometimes they might want things like "seek permission to isolate" and then "warn employees or other affected people" and the signs one at the start.:) As well as everything you said, of course.
 
Since you've edited it to include the 'abbreviation of doom' (C&G), I would also add to this by suggesting along the same lines as my esteemed colleague whereby permission to isolate needs to be sought, warning labels, locking off, key in pocket etc etc.

A good recovery from yourself. Have fitted many Wylex isolators and have never had an issue. Guess you were just unfortunate on this occasion.
