Today I turn up to a job to wire a kitchen, However before I start the guy shows me this cable coming from a wall after moving a tv unit..

He said he knows its "alive as he touched it and got a shock. Had the plaster in and was concerned that he might touch it so wrote on the wall...

Anyway.. Youll want this isolated right?? Isolated.. What you mean??? Ive taped it up so ill just plaster over it.... Really...

better leave a note for the kitchen fitter then as you might be concerned he plasters it into the wall...
 
went into a loft not long ago and found under the insulation a loose end of 6mm t+e, knew the guy had his bathroom refitted not long ago so though rough barstewards have left the old cable in the loft. How right was I, they had cut it off from shower left it connected to mcb but bless them they had switched it off!! how kind
