Hi every one though i would post this as i have my safe isolation this week at college and thought i would type it up to refresh my memory hope it helps any one.

Safe Isolation (Single)
1) ask permission to isolate board/circuit
2) Isolate board/circuit
3) Lock off board/circuit and attach notice
4) Put key for lock in your pocket
5) Check voltage indicator for visable damage
6) Prove voltage indicator with proving unit or known source
7) Test for voltage between:
L - E
N - E
L - N
8) Reprove voltage indicator on proving unit or known source
!!!! START WORK KNOWING YOUR SAFE !!!!


Safe Isolation (Three Phase)
1) ask permission to isolate board/circuit
2) Isolate board/circuit
3) Lock off board/circuit and attach notice
4) Put key for lock in your pocket
5) Check voltage indicator for visable damage
6) Prove voltage indicator with proving unit or known source
7) Test for voltage between:
L1 - E
L2 - E
L3 - E
N - E
L1 - N
L2 - N
L3 - N
L1 - L2
L1 - L3
L2 - L3
8) Reprove voltage indicator on proving unit or known source
