Was looking at the ‘SAFEcontractor Scheme’ today, but couldn’t find any information about exactly what the joining requirements are? It looks like you pay the fee, then they tell you what you need? I don’t want to pay the fee, and then be told that I need to go on a £1000 H&S course!!!!!!

This is the best info that I could find: http://www.safecontractor.com/files/109-1254-file.pdf

Even then, actual requirements are rather vague, it mentions questionnaires but not what the actual requirements for a successful assessment are!

I'm interested in this though so keep us informed if you go for it please!

We received this today from Safecontractor, we don't know who contacted them, it's addressed to Christine? Who ever she is..

Anyway thought I'd post it for information.

Dear Christine,
Further to your enquiry for information in regards to the SAFEcontractor scheme, information packs are no longer sent as our website www.safecontractor.com now displays all the pre-registration information that you require.

Also, just to let you know, our systems have recently been improved to help speed up the accreditation process, so now your documents can now be uploaded at your convenience into the new online questionnaire for our auditors to assess.

If you wish to proceed with the SAFEcontractor membership scheme, then simply click on the following link:- www.safecontractor.net

Should you require any assistance then please call us directly on 02920 266242.
