Any one seen the electrical safety councils app? It was mentioned on the news, so I downloaded it to take a look. It's a start but I would like to see a ad campaign in the papers or on tv. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-15741770

More scare tactics by the ESC.
Strange that there is no data or stastistics to back their claim that on average there is one death per week.
Even in the run up to Part P, they only said there were on average 30 deaths per year, again no data or stastistics to substantiate the claim.
To the best of my knowledge, using data supplied by the office of the national statistican, the average number of fatalities due to accidents in the home through the use or mis-use of electrical equipment or electrical installations during the 10 years before Part P was just over 20 per year.
I doubt very much that there has been an increase of nearly 250% in the last 5 years.
