BS7671:2008 Amdt 2011, 514.13.1 (iii): "A durable label .... shall be fixed ... at ... the main earth terminal, where separate from main switchgear."

So, if it's adjacent to the main board, head, meter, etc, I would say no. After all, how many PME earth terminals do you see with a label?

Yep has to have one I use the yellow and black stickers, but you could just use the metal label off a BS951 earth clamp
