Hi,

We’re having a new kitchen fitted, with a separate hob and double oven. The Hob is 6.4kW and the oven is 4.2kW totalling 10.6kW.

Would the below set up be ok for this?
  1. Consumer Unit with 50A MCB,
  2. 10mm T+E to 45A Cooker Switch (approx 13 metres),
  3. 10mm T+E to Dual Appliance Outlet (Scolmore 45A EASYFIT DUAL APPLIANCE OUTLET PLATE - https://www.superlecdirect.com/p-prw217-scolmore-45a-easyfit-dual-appliance-outlet-plate/),
  4. 4mm T+E to cooker and hob.
Is this set up ok considering it’s a 50A MCB with 45A switch and appliance outlet?

Also, is the 4mm T+E ok as it’s protected by a 50A MCB? I was under the impression that any change down in cable size should be protected?

Any advice would be appreciated
Thanks
