Just tried to install 3 of these and none work! Where is the secret switch? Got AC and DC power but the the units don't light up. Any ideas please?

have you checked pos and neg inputs are installed correctly?

that'd be the most usual reason several new inverters wouldn't fire up IMO, ie if they've got the inputs set up differently to how you're used to it or something.

Yes reversed polarity there Fred

There is a switch in the middle next to pos and neg inputs

Just want to clarify this was NOT me installing but I supplied the inverters and the branch connectors to reconnect 2 strings into each inverter which only has one MC4 input. Well you can guess the rest - I went over and replaced all the MC4 plugs the right way round. Classic and well done everyone - spot on.

Who installed it for you, they should have gone back

I was helping someone out as is my want...... I just assumed when they told me it was all dead they had checked. Well there was voltage but a little negative sign was the give away. Its all sorted now and I think for the money the units are pretty good but hum a bit like STECA's.
Also a big pat on the back for the SAMIL service guy who actually is in China but called me to help out. They will have a UK based technician very soon.
